The production of an anime series based on the manga series "Kill Blue" (Japanese original title: Kiruao) by author Tadatoshi Fujimaki has been officially confirmed. The broadcast of the series is scheduled to begin in April 2026.

The announcement was made as part of the "Jump Festa 2026" event. Simultaneously, the first main promotional video and an official key visual for the series were released.

The series will be animated by CUE. The direction is handled by Hiro Kaburagi, known for works such as "Kimi ni Todoke" and "Great Pretender". The character design is by Miho Daimonji.

The manga, which has been serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" since 2023, tells the story of the legendary 39-year-old hitman Ogami Juzo. After being stung by a mysterious bee, he finds himself in the body of a 13-year-old. On his boss's orders, he must infiltrate a middle school under this guise and face an unexpected school life.

The released main promotional video shows scenes where the disguised Juzo introduces himself to his new classmates, revealing his unusual abilities in the process. The key visual presents the main characters while also hinting at dangerous enemies from Juzo's former life.
