The light novel series "Kekkaishi no Ichiringe" (English: "A Solo Flower of the Barrier Master") by author Kureha is receiving an anime adaptation. First visual impressions and production details are now available.
The story follows the protagonist Hana, a user of mystical arts considered mediocre, who always stands in the shadow of her talented twin sister. When the head of her clan tries to force her into an arranged marriage, she begins a struggle for self-determination in a world shaped by traditional hierarchies. The series combines elements of Japanese folklore with romantic fantasy motifs.
