The series "Rooster Fighter" (original Japanese title: "Niwatori Faitā") is receiving an anime adaptation. The manga, created and illustrated by Shū Sakuratani, began in December 2020 as a web publication on the Comiplex platform. Since then, the work has gained a worldwide readership with its unusual premise.

Shortly after the series began, the manga developed into a notable title in North and South America, attributed to its unique setting and artistic style. Translations are now available in over 50 countries. The production of the anime series is being handled by the studios SANZIGEN and Sola Entertainment. The direction is led by Daisuke Suzuki, while Hiroshi Seko is responsible for the series composition.

An extensive team of voice actors has been enlisted for the Japanese version. Among the more well-known names in the cast are Kenta Miyake, Mariko Honda, Shiori Izawa, and Akio Ōtsuka.

The story takes place in a world where gigantic monsters known as "Onijū" (demon beasts) threaten humanity. The protagonist is Keiji, a solitary and rather eccentric rooster who opposes these creatures. His central motive is revenge for the death of his sister, who was killed by a powerful demon named "White Demon." On his journey, he is joined by other companions, including the chick Piyoko and the human noblewoman Elizabeth.

The series combines action scenes with humorous elements and has been described as "absurd, wildly sincere, and filled with clawed action."
