Anime adaptation of S-Rank Monster announced for 2025

The TV anime adaptation of "S-Rank Monster Behemoth, Mistaken for a Cat, Living as an Elf Girl's Knight (Pet)," based on the original work by Taro Shinonome and Nozomi Gin-yoku, is set to premiere in 2025. Along with the announcement, the first key visual, a teaser video, the main cast, and key staff members were revealed.

The anime is based on a novel by Gin-yoku, which was adapted into a manga by Shinonome and serialized in Hakusensha's Young Animal magazine. The first key visual features Tama, a former human knight reborn in the juvenile form of the S-rank monster Behemoth, and Aria Valken Stella.

In the story, Tama, a former human knight, is reborn as a juvenile S-rank monster Behemoth and is mistaken for a cat by the elf girl Aria. She names him "Tama" and keeps him as a pet. The series is set in the labyrinth city of Ryuin, where adventurers gather to explore monster-infested labyrinths.

Main Characters and Cast

- Vulkan (voiced by Tomori Kusunoki): A blacksmith from the tiger-ear tribe who runs the Valken weapon shop in Ryuin and is a C-rank adventurer with great strength. Despite her laid-back demeanor, she gives Aria precise advice but often acts shy around Tama.

- Stella (voiced by Hitomi Ueda): A mysterious girl whom Tama and Aria encounter in the labyrinth. She refers to Tama as the "Strong One" and bizarrely asks him to impregnate her. Though she appears to have lost her memory, her true identity hides a secret.
