An anime adaptation of the light novel "The Person I Loved Told Me to Die in My Sister's Stead. – Why Is the Unrequited Lover Who Married My Sister Coming to Me Now? –" by Mizuki Nagano is in development. The fantasy love story follows Wisteria, a former noblewoman who becomes the guardian of a poisonous otherworld in her sister's place. Her solitary existence is disrupted by the arrival of Lloyd, who bears a striking resemblance to her first love and is searching for her holy sword. The original novel, winner of the "Piccoma Award 2025," has reached a circulation of over 1.1 million copies. A manga adaptation by Maki Iemori is also being serialized.
