The manga series "Dead Account," created by Shizumu Watanabe, is receiving an anime adaptation. The protagonist, Sōri Enjō, is voiced by Nobuhiko Okamoto. The manga combines supernatural events with modern technology. At its center is Sōri, formerly known as a controversial livestreamer, who now battles digital manifestations of the deceased that appear on social media.

As part of the anime production, the first images have already been released, showcasing the main character and two additional figures. Alongside Nobuhiko Okamoto, Kōki Uchiyama will voice Kakeru Kasumi, a character whose role is to publicly condemn destructive behavior on the internet. Additionally, Ai Fairouz will play the role of Kie Urushisugawa, known for her passionate, occasionally exaggerated actions. The setting of the story is a special school that serves as a training ground for individuals with extraordinary abilities to deal with digital ghosts.

Author Shizumu Watanabe commented on the planned adaptation of his series, drawing a parallel between the technological evolution of analog to digital media and the manga's plot. The animation of the series is handled by Studio Synergy SP.
