The popular North American webcomic series „Let’s Play“ by Leeanne M. Krecic is getting a TV series adaptation, set to launch in October 202X. Under the title „Let’s Play: Quest-darake no My Life,“ the story will be adapted in animated form and relocated to present-day Los Angeles.
At the center is Sam, an aspiring game developer who has had little relationship experience so far. Her daily life is turned upside down when three very different men enter her life: Marshall Law, a charismatic game streamer who moves in next door (voiced by Kōyou Tsuchiya), her pragmatic boss Charles Jones (Yūichi Nakamura), and her childhood friend Link Hudson, who works at her favorite café (Tomokazu Sugita). Through these encounters, Sam is forced to grow beyond herself and confront her personal fears. Kana Hanazawa voices Sam in the lead role.
A first teaser already gives a glimpse of the character designs and lets the voices of the three male leads be heard. The voice actors also expressed their excitement about the project in initial statements.
The animation is handled by the experienced studio OLM.
