The manga series Gōmon Baito-kun no Nichijō, internationally known as "Torture Part-Time Workers' Daily Life" by Yawora Tsugimi, will receive an anime adaptation as a TV series in early 2026. First insights into the production as well as visual materials have already been released. The story is set in a dystopian world where torture and killings are socially accepted and legalized. At the center are four young men employed at a company specializing in these practices. Each of them brings their own character into the narrative: A talkative newcomer brings fresh energy, while an efficient colleague can hardly hide his boredom. The team is rounded out by a polite-seeming employee who hides sarcastic traits behind his facade, and a staff member whose working methods differ in some ways from those of his colleagues. The everyday conversations they have during their unusual work form the heart of the story, which is characterized by black humor. The anime is produced by the renowned studio White Fox, which has already gained attention with works like "Re:Zero". The voice actors for the main characters include Shunichi Toki, Takuma Terashima, Taku Nagatsuka, and Yōhei Azakami. The promotional material released so far shows the protagonists in typical work situations. The manga original is regularly published in the Young Animal Web Magazine.
