An anime adaptation of Yayū Murata's manga Tsuma, Shōgakusei ni Naru (If My Wife [Became] an Elementary School Student) is in development, according to the official Twitter account of Hobunsha's Weekly Manga Times magazine. The anime's format has not yet been announced.

The story revolves around Keisuke Niijima, a man who, a decade after the death of his wife Takae, still grieves for her. One day, an elementary school girl appears at his home, claiming to be Takae reborn as another girl. While Keisuke tries to make up for lost time, Takae faces the challenges of being an elementary school student with the mindset of a woman in her forties, all while attempting to create opportunities to meet Keisuke.

The manga was first published as a one-shot in Weekly Manga Times in April 2018 and began serialization in July of the same year. The series concluded in December 2022, with Hobunsha recently releasing the 14th and final compiled volume. The manga also inspired a live-action series, which aired between January and March 2022.
