Anime adaptation of Zatsu Tabi-that's the journey reveals the first scenes and teaser

To get in the mood for the premiere of the anime series Zatsu Tabi – That’s Journey (English: Miscellaneous Journey), selected scene stills and an online trailer for the first episode have been released. The series is based on the manga by Kenta Ishizaka and tells the story of the young manga artist Chika Suzugamori, whose career hits a slump and who spontaneously decides to embark on a journey.

In Episode 1, titled "The First 1,225 Steps," Chika starts her improvised trip to the city of Aizu-Wakamatsu in Fukushima Prefecture after a social media poll. The shown scenes illustrate her chaotic beginning: from aimless decisions to quirky encounters that shape her "escape from everyday life." The style blends lighthearted comedy with slice-of-life elements, supported by lively animations that capture the atmosphere of small Japanese towns.

The released images highlight the contrast between Chika's initial uncertainty and the carefree sense of adventure that drives her journey. The teaser emphasizes this through quick cuts between idyllic landscapes and humorous dialogues.
