Further updates reveal the anime's opening song titled "Red Liberation" by fripSide. The anime is scheduled to premiere in October.

The main cast of the anime includes Tomori Kusunoki as Terakomari Gandesblood, Sayumi Suzushiro as Villhaze, Yōko Hikasa as Karen Helvetius, Fairouz Ai as Nelia Cunningham, Miyuri Shimabukuro as Karla Amatsu, and Manaka Iwami as Sakuna Memoir.

On the production side, the series is directed by Tatsuma Minamikawa from Project No.9. Series composition is handled by Keiichirō Ōchi, while character design is overseen by Tomoyuki Shimoya. Music composition is led by Gō Shiina.

The story revolves around a shut-in vampire named Terakomari, or Komari for short. She finds herself as the leader of an army despite her unsuited traits, such as a disdain for blood, lack of strength, poor coordination, and inability to use magic. With the support of her loyal maid, however, she remains hopeful and successful.

Kotei Kobayashi first published the light novel series with illustrations by Riichu in January 2020, with the 11th volume released. The manga adaptation, drawn by the original illustrator Riichu, was serialized in Square Enix's Big Gangan magazine in December 2021.
