Anime adaptation of light novel series Your Forma confirmed

During the 30th anniversary of Dengeki Bunko, it was announced that the science-fiction mystery light novel series Your Forma by Mareho Kikuishi and Tsubata Nozaki will receive a television anime adaptation.



The story of Your Forma is set in an alternate near-future scenario where the technology of the "smart thread," called Your Forma, originally developed to combat a major outbreak of viral encephalitis, has become woven into daily life. In addition to their primary function, these devices can also record all visual, auditory, and emotional experiences of their users.

This technology forms the core of Echika Hieda's profession as an electronic investigator, who uses Your Forma to delve into people's memories to gather evidence. The challenge she faces lies not only in the intensity of her work but also in the fact that she is so skilled at it that her assistants succumb to mental exhaustion. This prompts her superiors to assign her an android partner, Harold Lucraft, who matches her abilities. However, Echika's prejudice against robots presents another hurdle to overcome in her already complex line of work.

This unique story won the 27th Dengeki Novel Prize, and Dengeki Bunko released the sixth volume on August 10. Yoshinori Kisaragi provided the artwork for the manga adaptation of the series.
