Anime adaptation of T.Jun's "Self-Taught Fighting" is scheduled to release in April

The webtoon "Self-Taught Fighting" by T.Jun, known for "Lookism," is set to be adapted into an anime. Along with the announcement, details about the cast, a teaser image, and a teaser promotional video were released. The story follows the protagonist Kotaro Shimura, who, after being bullied, discovers a secret online channel that teaches combat techniques. Shimura embarks on a journey to teach himself how to fight and climbs the ranks, changing his life in the process. The manga has been serialized on LINE Manga since 2020 and was nominated by the jury of the 25th Japan Media Arts Festival Manga Division in 2022. It also topped the "Wishlist for Anime Adaptations" survey among male readers on LINE Manga.

The anime is scheduled to air in April on Fuji TV's "+Ultra" programming block. The creative team includes Masakazu Hishida as director, Toshiya Ono for series composition, Satomi Miyazaki for character design, Yutaka Yamada for music, and Occult Noboru for animation production.
