Anime "ATRI - My Dear Moments-" is scheduled to air in the summer

Recently, the first promotional video and key visual for the TV anime "ATRI -My Dear Moments-" were released, captivating fans with enchanting imagery. The footage showcases the main characters ATRI and Natsuki in a heartwarming scene by the sea, hinting at the profound emotional journey the series will undertake.

"ATRI -My Dear Moments-" originates from ANIPLEX.EXE, the new game brand by Aniplex, which made its debut in 2019. The story is set in a near future where much of the Earth's surface has been submerged underwater due to an unexplained rise in sea levels. It revolves around Natsuki Ikaruga, a boy who lost a leg in a childhood accident, and ATRI, a mysterious girl found asleep in a coffin-like device beneath the sea. The paths of Natsuki, voiced by Kenjiro Ono, and ATRI, played by Hikaru Akao, cross and form the foundation of a captivating tale. ATRI, a highly advanced robot salvaged from the ocean floor by Natsuki, seeks to fulfill the "final mission" of her former master, Natsuki's grandmother. Although she has lost some of her memories during her long slumber, ATRI is determined to complete her mission, often emphasizing her high functionality.

The first preview of the anime was unveiled at Aniplex's booth during the "AnimeJapan 2024" event, offering an initial glimpse of the animated characters and setting. Additionally, the main staff and the broadcast schedule for the summer were announced.

The key visual accompanying the preview was illustrated by Michio Sato, the character designer and chief animation director, and bears the slogan "Meeting you, time starts moving again." It captures the essence of ATRI and Natsuki's relationship against the backdrop of the sea.
