Anime director Shigeyoshi Tsukahara is releasing two films at the same time in April

Director Shigeyoshi Tsukahara will release both of his films "Kurayukaba" and "Kuramerukagari" simultaneously in Japanese theaters on April 12.

"Kurayukaba" is an original anime set in the underground world of "Kuragari" beneath the imperial capital. It follows the protagonist, a detective named Shotaro, who uncovers the mystery behind a mass disappearance. The film is already a major success, having won the Audience Award - Gold in the Feature Animation category at the 27th Fantasia International Film Festival.

"Kuramerukagari," on the other hand, is a spin-off novel of "Kurayukaba" by Ryougo Narita. The story takes place in a mining town called "Hakoniwa" and revolves around a young girl named Kagari, who runs a map shop documenting the labyrinthine changes of the town. The film promises a unique narrative experience centered around Kagari's adventures.

Teaser images and special reports for both films have already been released to heighten fans' anticipation. Additionally, the cast lists for both films have been revealed, featuring well-known voice actors such as Ebizan Kanda, Tomoyo Kurosawa, and Yu Serizawa in "Kurayukaba," and Ayane Sakura in "Kuramerukagari."
