Yoshihito Shinomiya, known for his contributions to "Pokémon the Movie: Everyone's Story" and Makoto Shinkai's "The Garden of Words," will make his feature film directorial debut with the upcoming anime film "A New Dawn," set to release in Japanese theaters in 2025.

"A New Dawn" revolves around the impending eviction of the 330-year-old Obito Fireworks factory. The story intertwines the lives of three young people who grew up there and their two-day search for a mythical firework named "Shuhari."

The production is a collaboration between the French company Miyu Productions and the Japanese company Asmik Ace, with animation handled by Studio Outrigger. The character designs are by Utsushita of South Laboratory, who previously worked on the TV anime "Heaven's Wild Territory." The art direction is led by Ryoko Majima, known for her work on "Your Name" and "Flavors of Youth," while Shuta Hasunuma will compose the music.

Additionally, "A New Dawn" has been selected for Animation Day at the Marché du Film of the 77th Cannes Film Festival.
