Anime Film “Trapezium” New Promotional Video Released

As the theatrical release of the anime film "Trapezium" draws closer, a new promotional video has been released, giving fans a glimpse into the intense drama and vibrant world of aspiring idols. The film, which premieres tomorrow, May 10, is based on a young adult novel by former Nogizaka46 member Kazumi Takayama.

The trailer introduces viewers to Yuu Higashi, a determined protagonist who dreams of becoming an idol and forms the idol group "Cardinal Directions" with a group of girls from different schools. Among them are Kurumi Taiga, an introverted student from Nishi Techno Industrial High School; Ranko Katori, a cheerful heiress from St. Tenerita Women's Academy; and Mika Kamei, a reserved volunteer from Joshu North High School.

The group, initially brought together through volunteer work and TV appearances, begins to strain their relationship. Dramatic turns in the promotional video highlight the challenges of their journey, including a moment where Yuu confronts Mika harshly upon discovering she has a boyfriend, stating she wouldn’t have befriended her if she’d known, as well as scenes of Kurumi’s emotional breakdown.

In "Trapezium," Asaki Yuiikawa stars as Yuu, Kana Uemura as Kurumi, Reina Ueda as Ranko, and Haruka Aikawa as Mika, breathing life into these characters.
