The production of a second season for the TV anime adaptation of "Hanazakari no Kimitachi e" (Original: Hisaya Nakajo) has been officially confirmed. Simultaneously, a PV was released to accompany the announcement of the continuation.

The first season began in January and celebrated its season finale today, March 22nd, with the twelfth episode. The second season will focus on the second year of the protagonist Mizuki Ashiya at the all-boys school Ōsaka Gakuen. Alongside themes of love and friendship, the eventful daily school life will continue to be in focus.

"Hanazakari no Kimitachi e" tells the story of Mizuki Ashiya, a girl who disguises herself as a boy to transfer from the USA to a Japanese all-boys school—just to be close to her great idol, Izumi Sano. The original manga series was published from 1996 to 2004 in the magazine "Hana to Yume" (Hakusensha) and was adapted into a live-action series in Japan in both 2007 and 2011, followed by further international adaptations.

A first trailer for the second season is already available.
