Anime series "Shōshimin Series" starts second season "Shūki Gentei Kurikinton Jiken"

The second season of the anime series "Shōshimin Series," based on the light novel works by Honobu Yonezawa, is titled "Shūki Gentei Kurikinton Jiken" ("The Autumn Chestnut-Sweets Case") and will begin airing in early April. In line with this, the first official graphics, additional voice actors, and a video preview have now been released.

"Shōshimin Series" comes from the pen of author Honobu Yonezawa, who is also known for the similarly animated novel series "Classic Literature Club" ("Hyōka"). The second season focuses on two works from the series: in addition to the titular story "Aki-ki Gentei Kurikinton Jiken," it also covers "Tōki Gentei Bonbon Chocolat Jiken" ("The Winter Limited Bonbon Chocolat Case").

The newly released key visuals highlight the characters surrounding the central figures and evoke an autumnal atmosphere. A first animated preview has also been unveiled, featuring excerpts of the theme song "Ai toka." by Riria.

Alongside the second season, a special broadcast of all episodes from the first season will be available on a Japanese streaming service. Additionally, there will be an opportunity to participate in a fan event featuring discussions and appearances by various voice actors from the series. Among others, the main cast members Shion Wakayama (as Fia Lude), Shinnosuke Tokudome (as Zabilia), Yuichiro Umehara (as Savis Nerve), and Nobunaga Shimazaki (as Cyril Sutherland) will take part.
