The TV anime adaptation of Akira Ozaki's manga "Uchi no Otouto-domo ga Sumimasen" (roughly "Excuse My Little Brothers") will begin airing on Japanese television from July 3rd. As announced at "AnimeJapan 2026," the series will run for two consecutive cours. Simultaneously, a new key visual, the first promotional video (PV), and additional voice actors for the Narita family were revealed.

The new members of the Narita family are portrayed by established voices: Taku Yashiro voices the second-oldest brother Raku, described as a quiet, intelligent, and always composed character. Kensho Ono lends his voice to the mysterious third brother Shu, who often remains closed off even to his own family. The fourth and youngest brother Rui, considered the lively and cuddly family mascot, is played by Momoka Terasawa.

The story revolves around high school student Ito, who, after her mother's remarriage, suddenly lives under one roof with four new stepbrothers. What she had hoped would be a harmonious family life turns into a turbulent daily routine full of misunderstandings and chaotic moments with her new, strong-willed siblings.

The anime is being produced at Studio Lay-duce under the direction of Hitoshi Nanba. Megumi Shimizu is in charge of series composition, while Shiori Hiraiwa and Yoko Fukushima handle character design. In addition to the new cast members, Naomi Ozora (as Ito) and Toshiki Masuda (as Gen) are part of the main cast. The broadcast will air on channels including TOKYO MX and BS11.

In their comments, the new voice actors expressed their excitement about the source material and the multi-layered characters. Yashiro emphasized the warmth of the family dynamics, Ono looked forward to the challenging role of the reserved Shu, and Terasawa highlighted the charm of the youngest brother Rui, whom she plays with great joy.
