Once again, Anime Virtual has scored a major coup.

This time, they’ve secured the rights to the 26-episode fantasy series Claymore, which is set to be released in German before the end of the year.

Synopsis:

In a savage, medieval world, humans suffer under the Yômas—demons that can take human form and feed on people. When Clare, a young fighter with silver eyes, is saved by a Claymore warrior, she decides to become a Claymore herself.

The Claymore are an elite caste of unmatched warriors, half-human and half-demon. They were created by a mysterious organization to combat the Yômas. Among the people, the Claymore are nicknamed "Silver-Eyed Witches." Their overwhelming swordsmanship stems from the demonic blood in their veins...

The manga source material for the series, by the way, will be released by Tokyopop starting in August.
