The new version of animeMANGA is now online. Of course, some bug fixes / minor changes will follow in the coming days. But the site has been extensively tested. Support for Internet Explorer 6 and 7, which was already limited due to JavaScript, has now been dropped. The reason for this ultimately lies in CSS support. However, this should not be a disadvantage—or rather, it should encourage users to stop using a browser that is 15 years old :) If you happen to find any errors, please let us know directly. Overall, performance should even be improved.
So, what’s new? The motto is: Less is more. Simpler, more modern, clearer, responsive, etc. The site is now fully mobile-friendly. As part of this, navigation elements, all form elements, link schemes, all buttons, etc. have changed. To test it for yourselves: Grab your phone or tablet and visit the site. This should now be a major advantage for our users. At the same time, the transition should still feel relatively easy, as the style of our site has been kept 1:1.
The site is now also fully HTML5 compatible. HTTP/2 is currently in the planning stage with software updates that were only possible with the new version.
That’s it for now; more will follow in the coming days.
