Anne Shirley - Episode 15

The death of Thomas Lynde leaves Rachel Lynde deeply lonely. Marilla suggests that Rachel should move to Green Gables to enable Anne to attend college. Anne hesitates at first, as she fears change and considers her roots in Avonlea. During the wedding preparations for Lavendar Lewis and Stephen Irving at Echo Lodge, Charlotta the Fourth shares that she will move to Boston with the couple. Paul Irving expresses his joy about Lavendar’s new role as a stepmother but also voices concerns that she might adapt too much. Meanwhile, Diana Barry announces her engagement to Fred Wright, bringing Anne both joy and a sense of being left behind. After Lavendar and Stephen’s wedding, Paul encourages Anne to continue her educational path. As a result, Anne finally decides to study at Redmond University and bids farewell to her students, with Paul reacting particularly emotionally.
