Announcement of a television series for "Iwamoto-senpai no Suisen"

A manga template by Hiroshi Shiibashi is receiving an adaptation as an anime television series. The plot of the series, which bears the title "Iwamoto Senpai's Recommendation", is set in 1910s Japan. It is a fairy tale narrative permeated with romance.

The student Iwamoto Kodo is enrolled at the militarily led Seihou Middle School. His task is to investigate inexplicable events nationwide and in doing so, to track down persons who possess special powers in order to recruit them for his school. The series follows him as he deals with mysterious occurrences and the life paths of those affected.

Taito Ban has been secured to voice the central character Iwamoto Kodo. The role of the energetic younger schoolmate Harumachi Kai is voiced by Yuki Sakakibara. Kento Ito lends his voice to the often pensive student Amaha Soichiro.

The art direction of the production is overseen by Toshifumi Kawase. Keiichiro Ochi is responsible for the series composition. The visual design of the characters is developed by Atsuko Nakajima. Studio Deen has been commissioned with the animation production.

To announce the series adaptation, initial information, a preview illustration, and a short first promotional clip were released.
