Announcement of the anime adaptation „Hime Kishi to Banzoku no Yome“ („The Princess Knight and the Barbarian’s Bride“)

A television anime adaptation of the novel series by Kotoba no Ariaki will air starting in October. The production also unveiled first glimpses through a main preview as well as details about the core production team.

The story of "Hime Kishi to Banzoku no Yome" follows Seraphina de Lavillant, a noble warrior who, after suffering defeat in battle, comes face-to-face with Veol, the future leader of a tribe considered barbaric. Despite their former enmity, the unlikely pair begins a life together as fiancés, forging an unexpected connection between disparate worlds.

The first released preview outlines the starting point of the narrative: While Seraphina resigns herself to a fate as a captive, Veol, despite his feared reputation, reveals an unexpectedly sincere and resolute demeanor. The dynamic direction highlights both the emotional conflicts and the gradual rapprochement between the two characters.

The cast includes Sayumi Suzushiro as Seraphina, Keiji Inomata as Veol, Kana Hishikawa in the role of the loyal companion Tsetzi, and Aki Toyosaki as Alyssa Marcias, a military priestess who reveres Seraphina.

Director Takayuki Tanaka and screenwriter Miya Asakawa lead the creative adaptation, while Studio Jumondo handles the animation. Further details about the series are expected in the coming weeks.
