A television anime adaptation of the manga *"You and I Are Polar Opposites" (正反対な君と僕, Seihantai na Kimi to Boku) has been officially announced. The series is scheduled to premiere in January 2026.

The adaptation is being developed by the animation studio Lapin Track. This studio is known for its work on series such as "The Little Citizen Series" and "Undead Girl Murder Farce". The announcement was enthusiastically received by the original creator, Kōcha Agasawa, who expressed his hope that the anime will please both existing fans and new viewers.

The plot is a romantic comedy centered on two high school students with opposite personalities.
- Miyu Suzuki: An energetic and sociable girl who often worries about others' opinions and tends to adapt to social situations.
- Yusuke Tani: A quiet and introverted boy known for his direct way of speaking, regardless of the social context.

The plot explores their evolving relationship, focusing on Suzuki's attempts to build a connection with Tani despite their differences, as well as the mutual, initially unspoken attraction between them.

The manga, created by Kōcha Agasawa, was first published as a one-shot in January 2021 before being serialized on Shueisha's Shōnen Jump+ platform in May 2022. The series ended on November 25, 2024. To date, the compiled volumes have reached a circulation of over 1.35 million copies. For English-speaking readers, the series is available via Shueisha's Manga Plus service and has been licensed for physical release by Viz Media.
