On the website and the Twitter account of the anime adaptation of the action RPG video game NieR:Automata, a new promotional video and corresponding promotional image have been released. Both the Commander and the operators responsible for the YoRHa unit are in the spotlight. Additionally, the first voice actors have been announced. The anime is scheduled to premiere in January 2023.



Regarding the voices revealed in this new detailed update for the anime NieR:Automata Ver1.1a, Chiaki Kanou plays the role of the Commander, while seiyū Keiko Isobe voices Operator 60 and Meari Hatsumi voices Operator 210.

The main cast will be as follows:

- Yui Ishikawa as 2B

- Natsuki Hanae as 9S

- Hiroki Yasumoto as Pod 042

- Kaoru Akiyama as Pod 153

NieR:Automata tells the story of the androids 2B, 9S, and A2 and their struggle to reclaim a dystopia ruled by powerful machines. Humanity has been driven from Earth by mechanical beings from another world. In a final desperate attempt to retake the planet, the human resistance sends a force of android soldiers to eliminate the invaders. Now, a war between the machines and androids rages.
