"Ao no Miburo" the Shinsengumi era starts in October

The TV anime "Ao no Miburo," based on the original work by Takeshi Yasuda, will premiere on October 19 on a nationwide network. The opening theme song titled "Ao" is performed by SPYAIR.

The song "Ao" was specially written to capture the essence of the series' world, which revolves around the vibrant lives of the Shinsengumi members.

"Ao no Miburo" is set in Kyoto during the late Edo period and tells the story of the Shinsengumi's youth. The narrative begins with a cheerful boy named Chirinu Nio, known for his constant smile and affection for his grandmother. The story unfolds as he encounters the Miburo, also known as the Mibu Wolves, who would later become known as the most fearsome swordsmen of the Shinsengumi.
