New Voice Actors Announced for Anime "Once Magical Girls Were Enemies of Evil" Along with Third Promotional Video

The TV anime "Once Magical Girls Were Enemies of Evil," based on the work by Kokoa Fujiwara, will premiere on July 9. The announcement comes with the release of the third promotional video and an expanded voice cast. Kenichi Suzumura returns as the voice of Fomalhaut, an elite officer of the villainous organization who shares a long-standing relationship with Mira. Ayako Kawasumi voices the imaginative Bellatrix, Hiro Shimono takes on the role of the knowledgeable Alcyone, Nao Toyama portrays the youthful yet mature Spica, Takumi Yamazaki plays the research-enthusiastic Sadalsuud, and Takaya Hashi voices the oldest member, Betelgeuse.

The third promotional video, titled "Side Evil Strategist," features Yuki Ono as Mira and offers a glimpse into the activities of the antagonistic organization against the magical girls. The video creates an eerie and intense atmosphere with its dark music as Mira stares intently at a photo of the magical girl Byakuya.

The anime follows the comedic and romantic battles between Mira, a member of the invading evil organization, and Byakuya, a diligent magical girl who balances her duties with a part-time job. Mai Nakahara voices Byakuya, with additional characters including Shinichiro Miki as the cat messenger, Mariya Ise as Kagari Hana, and Hikaru Midorikawa as the bird messenger.
