“Possibly the Greatest Alchemist of All Time” – anime adaptation with star cast planned for January 2025

The anime adaptation of "Izure Saikyou no Renkinjutsushi?" ("Possibly the Greatest Alchemist of All Time") is expected to premiere in January 2025. Initial information about the cast, details about the voice actors, teaser images, and a promo video have now been released.

The source material, a novel by Kogitsunemaru, won the Readers' Award at the 10th Alphapolis Fantasy Novel Awards. The story follows Takumi Iruma, a middle-aged office worker who gets caught up in a hero summoning and ends up in the magical world of Mildgard. Equipped with the ability to cheat, granted to him by the goddess Norn, he sets out to restart his life in this new world full of swords and magic. The novel series consists of 15 volumes, while the manga adaptation by Sasakamataro spans six volumes.

Shogo Sakata will voice the protagonist Takumi Iruma. Ai Kayano plays Sophia, an elven woman living in a trading house after being sold as a captive, and Nao Toyama voices Maria, who takes care of Sophia at the trading house. Additionally, Fumi Hagiwara voices Kaede, a spider creature tamed by Takumi, and Sora Amamiya voices the goddess Norn. The series is directed by Naoyuki Kuzuya, with music by Mitsutaka Hirota, and animation is produced by Studio Comet.
