The light novel series "Arafou Kenja no Isekai Seikatsu Nikki" (English title: "The Diary of a Middle-Aged Sage’s Carefree Life in Another World") by Yasukiyo Kotobuki is receiving a TV anime adaptation. A first teaser visual was released alongside the announcement.

The story revolves around a 40-year-old unemployed man who passionately immerses himself in a VR role-playing game. After an accident, he is reborn into a fantasy world with the status values of his game character. The print edition is released under the MF Books imprint of KADOKAWA, with illustrations by Johndee. The manga adaptation by 888 is published on the platform "Kadokomi" (formerly ComicWalker).
