“Ramen Akaneko” anime is scheduled to air in July 2024

The TV anime "Ramen Akaneko," based on the manga by Angyaman, is set to air in July 2024. The series will feature Kenjiro Tsuda in the role of Bunko, the manager of the cat-run ramen shop Ramen Akaneko.

The announcement was made at "Jump Festa 2024," held on December 16 at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba. Along with the announcement, character designs and a teaser promotional video were revealed. Hisatoshi Shimizu, known for his work on "Gymnastics Samurai," will direct the anime. Hiroshi Kubo is in charge of series composition and scriptwriting, Michinori Chiba for character design, and E&H Production under the supervision of Sung-Ho Park for animation production.

"Ramen Akaneko" follows the daily life of the human protagonist Tamako, who starts working at the cat-operated Ramen Akaneko, and her interactions with the feline characters. Tsuda's character Bunko is described as a "professional ramen cat" who manages the shop and is known for not saying much.
