The first episode of the third season of the TV anime "Re:Zero - Starting Life in Another World" titled "Theater of Malice" will be broadcast as a 90-minute special, equivalent to four regular episodes. This premiere episode will be exclusively screened in theaters across the country for two weeks starting August 30. Alongside this announcement, additional cast members, the second key visual, a cinema trailer, and information about the theme songs were revealed.

The new cast includes Chika Anzai as Sirius Romanée-Conti, a Sin Archbishop of the Witch Cult responsible for "Wrath." Shoya Ishige voices Joshua Juukulius, the younger brother of Julius. Koutarou Nishiyama plays Kiritaka Muse, the young leader of the Muse Company, which controls Pristella, and Kenjirou Tsuda voices Heinkel Astrea, the deputy commander of the Knights of Lugnica.

The opening theme "Reweave" by Konomi Suzuki, who has previously contributed to the series, and the ending theme "NOX LUX" by MYTH & ROID were announced. The trailer features the new song "Reweave" and scenes with Sirius Romanée-Conti and others. The second large-scale key visual depicts a confrontation in the Watergate City of Pristella between Emilia's faction, various candidates for the royal selection, and the Sin Archbishops of the Witch Cult.

Season 3 of "Re:Zero - Starting Life in Another World" is expected to air in October.
