Arknights: Perish in Frost Anime Prepares for October Premiere with Full Promo Video and Theme Songs

The long-awaited anime adaptation of the popular game Arknights, titled "Arknights: Perish in Frost," has released a comprehensive promotional video. The video not only gives fans a taste of what to expect from the series but also features the opening theme song "ACHE in PULSE" by MYTH & ROID and the ending theme song "R.I.P." by ReoNa. The series is set to premiere on October 6.





The anime boasts a voice cast that includes Yuki Kaida as the Doctor, Tomoyo Kurosawa as Amiya, and Yōko Hikasa as Kal'tsit. The series is a production by Hypergryph, with Yostar Pictures handling the animation. Yuki Watanabe serves as the director, and the music is composed by Yuki Hayashi.

The anime follows the setting of the game—a fantasy world called Terra, infused with modern science-fiction elements. Terra is a world plagued by rare but devastating catastrophes, forcing its inhabitants to live in nomadic cities. These disasters also unearth a valuable yet dangerous mineral called Originium, which can trigger a deadly disease known as Oripathy. The story focuses on the lives of those affected by Oripathy and how a mobile medical team called Rhodes Island aids them while simultaneously fending off the threat of a terrorist group known as the Reunion Movement.

This anime serves as a successor to "Arknights: Prelude to Dawn," which premiered in October 2022 with eight episodes.
