First details have been announced regarding the upcoming animation adaptation of "Arne no Jikenbo". The production is based on a detective game that has been available since 2017.

The plot takes place in a town inhabited by mysterious beings called Rügenberg. The focus is on the investigations of two main characters in solving unusual occurrences.

Three characters form the center of the narrative. A newly conceived character for the film adaptation complements the duo known from the original. The cast of these roles has now been officially confirmed.

The voice cast includes established voices. Mariya Ise, Koki Uchiyama, Aimi Tanaka, and Yuka Nukui are taking on the respective main parts. Written statements from those involved are available.

A published key visual shows the three protagonists in characteristic poses. An accompanying text line calls for critical questioning. The main preview shows scenes from the plot that show the meeting of the characters during an investigation.

Two artists are responsible for the musical accompaniment. The opening title is by Sou, while the ending is performed by Watashi Kobayashi. An earlier composer of the game original is involved in the production.

The release of the animation series is scheduled for January 2026.
