“SAKAMOTO DAYS” – Anime release announced with new trailer and key visual

The upcoming anime adaptation of Yuto Suzuki's manga "SAKAMOTO DAYS" has released a key visual and the main video. Additionally, information about the theme song and the two-part broadcast of the anime has been announced. The series will begin on January 11, 2025, with the second part airing in July 2025.

The key visual features the protagonist Taro Sakamoto, once a legendary hitman, alongside his companions in front of his store, the Sakamoto Store. The main video showcases scenes from Sakamoto's daily life, where he enjoys a peaceful existence with his family while adhering to his family's rule—"Do not kill anyone." Alongside these tranquil moments, there are also action-packed scenes featuring assassins targeting Sakamoto, as a bounty of one billion yen has been placed on his head.

The opening theme, a song specially composed for the series by Vaundy, is titled "Hashire SAKAMOTO" (in English: "Run, Sakamoto"). Vaundy, a huge fan of the manga, aimed to musically capture Sakamoto's "overwhelming strength"—a trait admired by fans that makes him unique.

The story of "SAKAMOTO DAYS" revolves around Taro Sakamoto, who, despite being a feared assassin in the past, now leads a peaceful life with his family. However, to protect this life, he faces off against various assassins. The manga is currently serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump, with 19 volumes released so far.
