"Ascendance of a Bookworm": Second Main Trailer and First Scene Excerpt Released

On the stage of "AnimeJapan 2026," held today at Tokyo Big Sight Hall, the second main promotional video (PV) for the TV anime series "Ascendance of a Bookworm: Adopted Daughter of an Archduke" was unveiled. This concludes the fourth and final week of the "New Animation Material Four Weeks in a Row" campaign.

The new trailer features the animation set to the opening theme "Pages" by Little Glee Monster and the ending theme "Ima mo, Arigatō" by Erika Ikuta. It impressively summarizes the central elements of the series—family bonds, the making of books, and the fantastical world.

At the end of the video, a specially drawn illustration for the anime adaptation by the original illustrator You Shiina was shown for the first time, accompanied by a handwritten comment. Shiina wrote: "The young Main from the lower city, who develops from a commoner through the nobility to become Rozemyne and leads a brilliant, fantastical life, fights her way through! I very much hope you will enjoy the 'Bookworm' anime!"

Furthermore, on the official YouTube channel of ytv animation, the first excerpt from the beginning of Chapter 1 was released, offering a first impression before the official start of the series.

"Ascendance of a Bookworm: Adopted Daughter of an Archduke" tells the story of Rozemyne, who is reborn into the world of Ehrenfest, ruled by magic-gifted nobles, and attempts to create books in a world without them. The plot of the new part focuses on the intrigues triggered by Rozemyne's hidden, immense magical powers.

The series will begin airing nationwide on Yomiuri TV and the Nippon TV network from April 4th and will run for two consecutive cours (approximately half a year).
