"Atelier of Witch Hat": Voice Actors of the Magic Guard Revealed – Junichi Suwabe Voices Yeeshies

New details about the cast of the Magic Guard have been announced for the anime adaptation of Kamome Shirahama's manga "Atelier of Witch Hat" (original title: Tongari Boushi no Atelier). According to the production, Junichi Suwabe will take on the role of the strict vice-commander Yeeshies. Jun Kasama voices Utwin, Hiroki Yasumoto can be heard as Galga, and Yui Ishikawa lends her voice to Lulucie.

The Magic Guard is an organization of "mages who protect magic." They erase the memories of those who use forbidden spells or uncover the secrets of magic. The new characters will appear starting from episode 7, which airs on May 18. Utwin, Galga, and Lulucie will follow in the eighth episode on May 25.

Regarding his role as Yeeshies, Suwabe explains: "This work is beautiful and has an original world and atmosphere. I am very happy to be a part of it." Rena Motomura, the voice actress of the protagonist Coco, adds: "Yeeshies may seem strict, but behind that harshness, you can feel the strong responsibility to protect magic."

Additionally, a short preview clip for the seventh episode titled "For Whom Is the Magic?" has been released. The anime is currently airing on Japanese television and tells the story of the girl Coco, who, after learning great secrets of magic, becomes an apprentice to the young mage Qifrey.
