“Terminator 0” starts with a 6-minute sneak peek on Netflix

The Netflix series "Terminator 0," produced by Production I.G., has released the first six minutes of its main episode in advance. This marks the first animated installment of the "Terminator" franchise.

In the opening scene, the relentless Terminator, tasked with eradicating humanity, engages in a fierce battle with Eiko, a resistance fighter. Eiko, who finds herself in a desperate situation after the death of her comrades, is determined to extract crucial information about Skynet's secret plan from the Terminator. After an intense fight, she manages to defeat the Terminator and secure the data. Through this, she learns that Skynet plans to send a Terminator back to 1997 to assassinate a scientist named Malcolm Lee. To save humanity, Eiko decides to travel to the past herself. However, the Terminator reactivates to prevent the development of a new AI named Kokoro, which could potentially oppose Skynet, and reappears before Malcolm.

"Terminator 0" is led by showrunner and executive producer Mattson Tomlin, known for his work on "The Batman." The series is directed by Masashi Kudo, the director of the 'Bleach' series. The Japanese voice cast includes Yuya Uchida as Malcolm, Yasuhiro Mamiya as the Terminator, Atsumi Tanezaki as Kokoro, Toa Yukinari as Eiko, Hiro Shimono as Kenta, Shizuka Ishigami as the younger son Hiro, Miyuki Sato as the older daughter Reika, and Saori Hayami as Misaki, the mysterious housekeeper in Malcolm's home.
