The TV anime adaptation of "The Fable," based on the work by Katsuhisa Minami, will air on Nippon TV Network on April 6. Additionally, it has been announced that the series will be available for streaming exclusively on Disney Plus. Alongside this announcement, a second teaser has been released.

The second teaser video begins with a conversation between the protagonist Akira Sato and his boss, leading Sato to take a break from his career as an assassin. The video shows Sato enjoying his leisure time and laughing at comedians, while also introducing other characters who enjoy their free time, such as Satoko Yoko.

Further casting details have been revealed: Koji Ishii will play Hiroshi Hamada, the leader of the Makuro Group in Osaka's Taihei district, while Ryota Kuroshio and Katsuya Takahashi, the sub-leader and member of the Makuro Group, will be portrayed by Ryota Iwasaki and Yudai Mino, respectively. Koujiro Takahashi plays the Makuro Group's third-in-command, Soichi Sunakawa. Additional cast members include Seiko Mizuuchi as underworld boss Mats, Kenjiro Takata as the president of the design company Octopus, Kenjiro Onishi as designer Etsuji Kainuma, Kazuya Ichijo as the owner of the bar Buffalo, and Yuki Kaji as a regular patron, also known as "Pe Daiyocha" or Yuuki Kawai.

"The Fable" tells the story of a legendary assassin who assumes the identity of Akira Sato to live as an ordinary person. The anime was directed by Ryosuke Takahashi and produced by Tezuka Productions.
