The upcoming anime series "Ayaka: A Story of Bonds and Wounds," developed by GoRA and King Records, has recently unveiled a wealth of new details, giving fans a deeper insight into what they can expect from the highly anticipated series. The latest update includes the key visual, a selection of new characters, the main promotional video, and confirmation of the premiere on July 1.

Among the newly revealed information are the series' opening and ending songs, titled "AYAKASHI" and "Flashback," performed by angela and saji, respectively. This music sets the tone for the storyline and heightens expectations for an emotional and intense journey.
To further enhance the series, the producers also announced an expanded cast. Kenjiro Tsuda, Saori Hayami, Nobuo Tobita, and Hekiru Shiina will lend their voices to the characters Makoto Yanagi, Momoko Amamiya, Sanji Inо̄, and Mitama, respectively.
The plot revolves around Yukito Yanagi, a boy from an orphanage on the mainland, who is transferred to his birthplace, Ayakashima, by Jingi Sagawa, a young student of Yukito's late father. Ayakashima is a group of seven mysterious islands said to be the habitat of fire and water dragons according to legend. A mysterious being known as Mitama resides on these islands. The story follows Yukito's life as he, along with three former students of his father, strives for peace and harmony. However, the tranquility of the islands is disrupted as tensions rise between Jingi's classmates, Haruaki Karuma and Aka Ibuki.
Additional cast members include Yūto Uemura, Takuma Terashima, Kousuke Toriumi, Gakuto Kajiwara, Yuki Sakakihara, and Yuichiro Umehara, who voice Yukito Yanagi, Jingi Sagawa, Haruaki Karuma, Chatarō Fukuwake, Yako Amano, and Aka Ibuki, respectively. Notably, the character Haruaki Karuma was recast from Takahiro Sakurai to Toriumi due to unspecified circumstances.
The project is helmed by Nobuyoshi Nagayama, who directs the anime at Studio Blanc. GoRA oversees and writes the series' scripts, with the original character designs by artist redjuice, while Misaki Kaneko handles the final character designs. Naoya Tanaka serves as the production designer.
