Back on the planet Gunsmoke: Summary video prepares for new TRIGUN adventure

A new animated recap of the predecessor TRIGUN STAMPEDE has been released to prepare viewers for the story of the final chapter TRIGUN STARGAZE. The video is narrated by the voice of reporter Meryl Stryfe, spoken by Japanese voice actress Sakura Andou. It recaps the events surrounding the hunted outlaw Vash the Stampede and a journalistic investigation following a catastrophic destruction.

Trigun Stargaze (jap. Toraigan Sutāgeizu) continues the story approximately two and a half years after the devastating events of Trigun Stampede, known as the "Lost JuLai Tragedy." The world has descended into chaos, and journalist Meryl Stryfe has advanced professionally. Together with her new, younger partner Milly Thompson, she continues the search for the missing Vash. Their paths cross again with the shady priest Nicholas D. Wolfwood. Simultaneously, predatory attacks on the vital "Plants" are increasing, hinting at the machinations of the organization of Vash's twin brother, Millions Knives. Meanwhile, Vash lives hidden under the alias "Eriks" in a remote settlement, until a call for help forces him to abandon his protection to defend those who are important to him.

The final season will, like its predecessor, be animated by the CGI specialist Studio Orange. The series continues to be based on the original manga by Yasuhiro Nightow, who is also involved in the project. The direction is by Masako Sato, while Kazuyuki Fudeyasu is responsible for the series composition. The characteristic visual design is by Kōji Tajima.

Trigun Stargaze represents the conclusion of the reinterpretation of the classic series produced by Studio Orange. A special focus lies on the introduction of Milly Thompson, a popular character from the original manga and the first anime adaptation, who makes her debut in this new continuity.
