Bakumatsu Boy Anime Reveals Theme Songs And Additional Cast Members

On the official website of Bucchigire! (Shine On! Bakumatsu Bad Boys), three more cast members, theme songs, and the second promotional video were released. The anime is scheduled to premiere on July 8.



Takanori Nishikawa performs the anime's opening song "Ichiban Hikare! -Bucchigire!-," which is first heard in the video above.

Crunchyroll described the series' story as follows:

In the era when samurai ruled Japan... The Masked Demons wiped out all members of the Shinsengumi, who had dedicated themselves to maintaining peace and public order in Kyoto, leaving only one survivor.

Seven criminals are chosen as replacements for the deceased Shinsengumi members and are led by Ichibanboshi, whose parents were also killed by the Masked Demons. He becomes the deputy of Commander Isami Kondo and, alongside the other deputies, hunts down the Masked Demons to avenge his parents' deaths.

Former criminals rise up to restore peace and order as their wild story begins!
