"BASTARD!! -Heavy Metal, Dark Fantasy-" Season Two returns with new visual and theme song

Kazushi Hagiwara's anime series, "BASTARD!! -Heavy Metal, Dark Fantasy-," is soon releasing its second season under the fitting title "BASTARD!! Ankoku no Hakaishin: Jigoku no Chinkonka-hen" ("BASTARD!! -Heavy Metal, Dark Fantasy-: Hell's Requiem"). To heighten anticipation, the production team has released the third promotional video for the upcoming season, featuring the opening song "NEW DAWN" by coldrain. Additionally, the team has unveiled the key visual for the season.





The second season, consisting of 15 episodes, will be available worldwide on Netflix starting July 31 and continues the work of the previous season's team. The ending theme song, "La Muse perdue," is performed by singer Tielle.

The anime series' cast includes a wide range of talents such as Takuma Terashima, Sho Hayami, Junichi Suwabe, Koji Yusa, Jun Fukuyama, Ryūichi Kijima, Asami Seto, Taito Ban, Jun Kasama, and several others.

The anime series follows the release of the first part, which consisted of 13 episodes and debuted worldwide on Netflix in June 2022, and the second part with episodes 14-24, which premiered in September of the same year.

Additionally, a one-shot reboot of Hagiwara's "WIZARD!! Bakuen no Seifukusha" ("WIZARD!! Conqueror of Explosive Flames"), which served as a pilot version for the "BASTARD!! -Heavy Metal, Dark Fantasy-" manga, was published in the July issue of Shueisha's Ultra Jump magazine.
