Beginning scene of the anime film "Hyaku-e-mu." released

Regarding the anime film "Hyaku-e-mu.", which is based on the original work by Uoto, a six-minute sequence featuring the opening scenes has been released.

The release begins with a voiceover by Kenjirô Tsuda, who plays the role of Kaidô in the film, and shows a line of athletes in starting positions. The plot shifts from the race scene in a tense competition atmosphere to a sequence where the elementary school student Togashi outruns his classmates in physical education class. On his way home, he encounters a new classmate, Koya, who seems to arrive breathless and driven. Togashi stops the impetuously running Koya and asks him if he likes to run.

"Hyaku-e-mu." tells the story of two boys: Togashi, who is blessed with a natural talent for speed, and Koya, who develops a passionate interest in the 100-meter dash through his encounter with Togashi. The film follows them on their path to a decisive final race. The role of Togashi is played by Tôri Matsuzaka, while Shôta Sometani is seen as Koya. The film is currently playing in Japanese theaters.
