The legendary manga series "Berserk" will begin a new story arc, according to an announcement in the 18th issue of Hakusensha's Young Animal magazine. The new chapter will appear in the next issue of the magazine, scheduled for September 22.
The series resumed in Young Animal in June 2022 after being on hiatus following Miura's death. The manga is now credited as "original work by Kentarou Miura, manga by Studio Gaga, supervised by Kouji Mori." Studio Gaga, consisting of Miura's assistants and apprentices, has taken over the production of the manga. Kouji Mori, a close childhood friend of Miura who is deeply involved with the series, is overseeing the new chapters.
The 42nd compiled volume of the series will be released in Japan on September 29, marking the first volume since the series' return.
Mori, who claims to know the entire storyline of "Berserk," assures fans that the manga is in good hands.
