Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King - A delayed launch date amid the pandemic

Netflix recently released an English-subtitled promotional video for "Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King." It centers on the character Yuno and hints at the captivating journey that lies ahead. The film's release, originally scheduled for March 31, has been postponed to June 16. The delay is a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has impacted various aspects of film production.



Despite this delay, the film will be available on Netflix on its theatrical release day, offering viewers the chance to experience the story comfortably from home. Fans can also look forward to a novel adaptation of the film, which will be available starting June 9.

"Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King" features Yūki Tabata, the original manga creator, as chief supervisor and original character designer, ensuring the manga's integrity is preserved in its animated counterpart. He is joined by Ayataka Tanemura as director, Itsuko Takeda, who handles character designs, and Minako Seki, who composes the music. The film's production team also benefits from the involvement of many staff members who previously worked on the TV anime.

The film's cast includes Toshihiko Seki, Marie Iitoyo, Fumiya Takahashi, Miyuki Sawashiro, and Houchu Ohtsuka, each lending their voices to captivating characters, some of whom are newly introduced. Additionally, the film's theme song, "Here I Stand," is performed by Treasure, further enhancing the cinematic experience.
