"BLACK TORCH": Main cast of the anime adaptation announced

For the upcoming TV anime adaptation of Takaki Tsuyoshi's manga BLACK TORCH, the four main voice actors have been announced. Ryota Suzuki will play the protagonist Jirō Azuma, Yōji Ueda voices the legendary Mononoke Ragō, Saika Senbongi lends her voice to Ichika Kishimojin, and Junya Enoki takes on the role of the rookie Reiji Kirihara.

At the center of BLACK TORCH is high school student Jirō Azuma, who was trained by his grandfather as a descendant of a ninja lineage and possesses the special ability to communicate with animals. Jirō is rough and impulsive but distinguished by a helpful and conscientious personality. Through a fateful encounter with Ragō, a Mononoke once feared as the black harbinger of calamity, he becomes embroiled in a battle against supernatural beings and joins the state secret organization Black Torch.

Ichika Kishimojin, voiced by Saika Senbongi, is a confident and responsible Black Torch agent. Reiji Kirihara, whose role is played by Junya Enoki, is a cool and rational newcomer to the team but frequently clashes with the emotional Jirō.
