At the BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War panel at Anime Expo 2022, VIZ Media presented the first trailer for the new season of the Bleach anime. The two-minute teaser shows the cast of the final arc in motion and confirms the October 2022 premiere date.
The Thousand Year Blood War Arc is the final arc of the manga and spans volumes 55-74.
Tomohisa Taguchi succeeds Noriyuki Abe as director of the series, which is animated by Studio Pierrot. Masashi Kudo returns as character designer and Shiro Sagisu is back composing the music. The voice actors also carry over their roles from the first anime, while the characters who have not yet appeared will be voiced by the actors who voiced them in the game Bleach: Brave Souls.
The Bleach manga was published by Shueisha from 2001 to 2016 and has 74 volumes. The anime series appeared between 2004-2012.
