"Bloody Escape": trailer and cast of Saturo Taniguchi's anime film revealed

The anime film "Bloody Escape - Hell's Runaway Play" directed by Saturo Taniguchi, known for works such as "Code Geass" and "One Piece Film Red," has been announced for January 5, 2024. Along with this announcement, the official trailer was also released.

"Bloody Escape - Hell's Runaway Play" is an action film set in a far-future Tokyo divided by walls, following Kisaragi, a human who has been altered through experiments. The story revolves around Kisaragi's desperate escape from a group of vampires called "Immortal Knights" and the Yakuza.

The trailer shows Kisaragi struggling for his right to exist and attempting to flee Tokyo with Lunaru, a girl from Shinjuku. Additionally, there are intense battle scenes with Tenporin, the leader of the Immortal Knights, who seeks to rule over Tokyo. Characters such as Equa from the TV anime "Estab Life Great Escape," also created by Taniguchi, and the Yakuza boss Yaohachi make appearances. The key visual depicts Kisaragi and Lunaru in a moment of intense escape, blown away by an explosion, with the slogan "Everyone is dangerous."

The cast has also been confirmed. Yuki Ono voices Kisaragi, and Reina Ueda plays Lunaru. Soma Saito voices Lunaru's brother Crus. The fighters of the Immortal Knights—Jami, Larrack, Nonock, Zanza, and Zessh—are voiced by Yuma Uchida, Satsuki Yukino, Masayo Kurata, Jun Fukuyama, and Ryotaro Okiayu. Yaohachi, the Yakuza boss, is voiced by Kazuhiro Nakatani. The escape helpers—Equa, Feres, Maltese, Arga, Ulla, and Em—are voiced by Ayaka Ohashi, Rie Takahashi, Maria Nagawa, Sho Hayami, Shinichiro Miki, and Rina Hidaka. Tenporin is portrayed by Koichi Yamadera. Tomomi Mineuchi, who played Equa, retired from acting at the end of 2022.
